The Becker College veterinary technology program provides students with knowledge of applied science and specialized training in animal health, care, and management. The program is fully accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association's Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities. Students engage in classroom learning and gain hands-on experience at the College's Lenfest Animal Center. This facility houses the College's veterinary clinic, which sees hundreds of patients annually. In addition, field trips to shelters and large animal facilities and an externship experience in an approved research facility, private veterinary practice, or veterinary teaching facility fully develop each student's knowledge and potential. Upon graduation, students are immediately eligible to begin the process of becoming credentialed in clinical practice and/or research.
