Photography. Period the end.
Photography is my obsession. My camera is always with me. I have been taking photos since my dad let me borrow his Pentax K-1000 film camera and 50-135mm lens. I fell in love. My dad actually ended up giving me the camera and the lens as a gift a few years back. The camera works great, but the lens has water inside of it because it was in my coat pocket when I fell through the ice while taking lighthouse photos on lake Michigan last year. The point is: I am head over heels in love with photography. In addition to constantly taking photographs of anything and everything for the past 15 years, I do have some actual things worth noting.
When I was in high school I was a photo contributor to the Savoy Star (now called "County Star"). While in college I attended every single digital photography class that Parkland offered, after college. Over the years, I have traveled to and photographed multiple weddings (on my own), and in 2011 interned with Story To Tell Productions -- a local family owned photography company that specializes in weddings and industrial product photography. For the past few years I have satisfied the photography obsession by taking photos of students for the PR department at Champaign School district. I have also recently photographed a local model, building photos for Boltini Lounge's website, and am the on-call photographer for several drag queens in the area. Most of that is photographs of people, but don't worry. My passion is photography itself. I spend my weekends on marathon length walks taking photos of any building/plant/animal/thing that catches my eye. My artistic work is currently on display at Boltini Lounge in Downtown Champaign.
